New Modern

Workshop for IED Roma

New Modern

New Modern is a formal exercise on the interiors of a famous building in via Quadronno 24 in Milan designed jointly by Angelo Mangiarotti and Bruno Morassutti.

The students have been asked to reinterpret the interior architecture of the standard apartment which, in the original configuration, presents an open plan subdivided exclusively by light elements or movable furniture.

The new layouts by the students will be characterized by formal and material uniformity organized through a modular system of dry assembled stainless steel plates.
